The History of Our Self Adjusting Technology Adjustable Air Beds
In the early 1990s, Natural Form began making air mattresses with pressure relieving surfaces to help hospitals prevent and treat decubitus ulcers (bed sores). The need for a better mattress transpired as traditional inner spring and foam beds simply could not provide the pressure relief necessary to address the problem of patients developing bed sores. In 1999, WCW’s chairman John Wilkinson invented our first air mattresses featuring our innovative Self Adjusting Technology.
