Size Matters: Selecting The Right Mattress Size

What factors should you consider when choosing the right mattress for your needs?  One major variable is size.

On the one hand, your height, weight and body size will determine what mattress will provide the best comfort for you.  On the other hand, the dimensions of your bedroom and the style of your home’s interiors provide another set of criteria for your mattress’s size.

Make a mistake, and you’ll suffer restless nights, or even serious discomfort.  But the correct mattress can provide a blissful eight hours of rest each night and bring an air of restful, harmonious comfort to your bedroom’s décor.

Twin Mattress

Some interiors have limited space, and some sleepers are smaller than others! A twin size mattress may be the right solution for a child’s room with bunk beds or a loft bed, making the most of a tight interior.  Twin mattress size can also be a good solution for a daybed in a multi-use room, guest room, or playroom.  A typical twin size mattress length is 75 inches; width varies from 35 to 39 inches.

Queen Mattress

A Queen size mattress is a nice compromise for smaller master bedrooms.  Still spacious enough to provide comfortable sleep, even for two sleepers, this size fits almost any master bedroom with room to spare.  If you are tall, the additional 5 inches of length gives a queen size bed a major advantage over a full-size.

King Mattress

If you share your bed, a king size mattress may be the best choice for you.  The extra space can make the difference between a good night’s sleep and a great night’s sleep.  You can enjoy the luxury of having plenty of room to stretch out, extra pillows, and a variety of sleep positions without disturbing your mate.

You might want to consider testing the mattress you choose. After all, the size may look right, but you won’t be looking at it — you’ll be sleeping in your bed every night!  Just in case you do change your mind or find that the mattress you chose isn’t quite right for you, Natural Form Sleep System mattresses come with a 20-year warranty.
