Mattress Review: Natural Form Sleep System vs. Select Comfort ® Sleep Number ®

Let Our Science Work For You.

Our Self Adjusting Technology® will do just that. The Natural Form® will AUTOMATICALLY ADJUST to you as soon as you lie down on the mattress surface. If you’re on your back it will conform to you perfectly. If your roll to your side it will AUTOMATICALLY RE-ADJUST (even while you sleep) sensing new pressure mapping on the mattress surface.

Why Should You Have to Choose a Number?
Do you really know what that should be to properly support your individual body weight type and size? 20, 60, 80?

What if you set it to number 40 when on your back but then roll to your side ½ hour later?

Does the pump automatically change your number based on the new pressure mapping on the mattress surface?

You obviously now have more pressure at the hips and shoulders wouldn’t you agree? So are any of these beds really made to properly support the back and create Zero Pressure at all times regardless of how many times you reposition your body?

Why is the Natural Form® Different than All Other Air Beds?
Select Comfort® / Sleep Number® or ANY of the Powered Air Bed companies have the same things in common. They all use inflatable Bladders, Pumps and Motors. They Blow up like a camping mattress when the Pump kicks on.

What's the Main Difference Between Select Comfort® / Sleep Number® and Natural Form®?
The main difference between both these companies is that Natural Form® has the only open-air system in the world. It's patented air valves work off the atmosphere without the need for a pneumatic pump or motor. Every other airbed in the consumer marketplace is a closed system. They are all virtually identical; therefore they are relegated to commodity status.

Why is an Open-Air System Better for Support Then a Closed air System?
A closed air system is inherently flawed; it is based on the same principle as a waterbed. Pascal's Law - which is how hydraulics works, whereby you push on one side and the other side goes up. This is not in the best interest of the individual lying on the surface since the pocket or bubble of air has nowhere to escape other then to push back up against the body. This creates pressure, which pinches and occludes blood flow on the individual's body, very similar to a waterbed. A closed airbed such as Select Comfort® / Sleep Number® system cannot correctly support since their airbeds are one single continuous air bladder. The human body is not a straight line, it is curved, and therefore, ergonomics and biomechanics play a very important role. It is physically impossible to manually figure out how much air to pump into a closed airbed, therefore the individual on the mattress is never in the optimum environment for correct support. Natural Form® automatically adjusts on its own to the exact physical configuration of the individual. It is a perfect system without any margin of error. Boyles's Law

Is Natural Form® Reimbursable for Private Insurance and Efficient enough to be Recognized as a Medical Product Used to Treat and Prevent Health Conditions Including Bed Sores?
Yes, Natural Form® is the only air mattress recognized by the U.S. Gov't and Private Insurance in the consumer mattress marketplace. It has its own HCPS Code E0 373 Non Powered Pressure Relieving Mattress. Select Comfort® / Sleep Number® Air Beds are not recognized as Durable Medical Equipment since they are not manufactured for health issues but rather comfort issues in consumer homes. Natural Form® was medically tested and scientifically evaluated by the U.S. Gov't for 6 years before it was awarded this prestigious recognition. The Natural Form® is built for Hospital grade so it will last longer than conventional consumer mattresses.
